Modern manufacturing software, built for compliance
Fulcrum and Infab are both modern cloud platforms. Infab is built for the defense and aerospace supply chain, with AS9100, ITAR on GovCloud, and traceability at the core, plus AI on every quote.
Defense work, held to its own rules
Infab Softworks is registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, every employee is a US person, and stored ITAR data is encrypted on AWS GovCloud. Contract review gates the order before it is created, the AS9100 package covers non-conformance and corrective action, and every material lot stays traceable by heat and lot number. Our CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 self-assessment is complete and the Level 2 score is posted in SPRS.
Read the print, score the part
Infab Assistant reads drawings, models, customer purchase orders, and material certificates into quote-ready facts and traceable inventory lots. DFM Check is a deterministic rules engine, not a model: it flags deep holes, sharp internal corners, sub-tool radii, and parts that exceed the travel of your machines while the estimator is still pricing the job. Every change the Assistant drafts waits for a person to approve it.

Where Fulcrum is strong
Fulcrum leads with dynamic scheduling driven by live shop data, and it publishes a broad catalog of third-party integrations. If your evaluation turns on scheduling automation, or on connecting a long list of outside systems, read their material next to this page and weigh both.
Common questions
Is Infab ITAR compliant?
Yes. Infab Softworks is registered with the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, every employee is a US person, and all stored ITAR data is encrypted on AWS GovCloud. Our CMMC Level 1 and Level 2 self-assessment is complete and the Level 2 score is posted in SPRS. Third-party CMMC certification is still pending, so we never describe Infab as CMMC certified.
Does Infab schedule production like Fulcrum?
Infab has a machine scheduler. Work is assigned to specific machines, each machine carries its own queue, and the floor sees what runs next. Fulcrum leads with dynamic, live-data scheduling and that is a real strength of their platform. If scheduling depth is the single thing you are buying, weigh both.
What does Infab add to every quote?
Infab Assistant reads the drawing, the model, the customer purchase order, and the material certificate into quote-ready facts and traceable inventory lots. DFM Check runs a deterministic rules engine over the model and returns a machinable score before you send a price. Both are part of the base subscription, and both are advisory: a person approves every change before it applies.
Can I switch from Fulcrum?
Yes. Infab has import tools for data from other quoting and ERP platforms, so parts, accounts, vendors, and order history come across with you. We scope the import with you before you start so you know what moves and what does not.
