Infab Assistant

A second set of eyes, with you in control

The Assistant reads the documents you already deal with, answers questions across quoting, production, purchasing, and quality with its sources shown, and drafts the changes you ask for. Nothing is applied until you approve it.

Surfaced to you, approve to apply. Every extracted fact and proposed action is shown for a person to review. Approvals are logged.

Managed by Infab. Document analysis runs on Infab's AWS GovCloud instances, so export-controlled files stay in a controlled environment.

Drawing analysis

Pull the cost-driving details from the print

Point the Assistant at an engineering drawing and it reads the title block and the notes. It pulls the material and its governing spec, the critical tolerances that drive cost, the part revision, and the compliance flags the drawing calls out, and it highlights where it found each one so you can verify the finding before you apply it.

Material and spec. Alloy, temper, and the governing spec, never a finish mistaken for a material.

Critical tolerances. The tight callouts that drive cost, not the default block tolerances.

Compliance flags. DFARS, export control, material cert, when the drawing says so.

Apply after review. Set the material, apply the revision, add the finishing op, or copy the notes.

A setup plan on your machines

Upload a 3D model and the Assistant recommends how to make it. It classifies the part, proposes a setup strategy on 3, 4, or 5 axes or a lathe, and matches each setup to one of your real machines. It estimates machining time from the removed volume, and it can write the strategy back as operations and charges on the quote.

Setup strategy. Part type, axis approach, and setup count.

Matched to your machines. Recommends a machine you actually have.

Machining time estimate. Grounded in removed volume and removal rate that is feature-dependent.

Geometry at a glance. Bounding box, volume, surface area, solid count.

Purchase-order analysis

Catch the mismatch on day one

When a customer PO comes in, the Assistant reads it: PO number and dates, line items, delivery and payment terms, and the quality clauses that matter. It flags discrepancies against the quote you agreed to, so a quantity, price, revision, or lead-time mismatch is caught before it becomes a problem.

Line items and terms.

Quality clauses. FAI, CoC, material certs, DFARS flow-downs, and the like.

Discrepancy hints. Customer PO versus the accepted quote.

From mill cert to traceable lots

In receiving, draw a box around each lot on a mill cert and the Assistant reads the heat and lot number, the alloy and spec, the shape and dimensions, and the DFARS and domestic-origin status. It turns those regions into traceable inventory lots and matches them to the right purchase-order line items.

Ask the assistant

Ask about the work. Approve the change.

The Assistant answers questions across the shop and drafts changes for you to approve. Ask which jobs are late, what is blocking a shipment, or a vendor's on-time record. Ask it to add an operation, override a price, or place a job on hold, and it prepares the change for you to approve. It never acts on its own, and it only proposes what you already have permission to do.

Answers with sources. Production, materials, purchasing, finance, quality.

Approve to act. It drafts, you approve, it is logged.

Permission-aware. It can only propose what you can already do.

Who's on the fabrication ops for lines 1-5 of order 2033?

Lines 1-5 of order 2033 have 18 fabrication operations. 12 are unassigned; the other 6 are on Dana R.

FAQ

Common questions

Engineering drawings, supported 3D models, customer purchase orders, and material certificates, plus the records across quoting, production, purchasing, finance, and quality.

No. It drafts a proposed change, a person reviews and approves it, and approved actions are logged. It can only propose actions the current user already has permission to perform.

Yes. Answers include their sources, and information extracted from a drawing is highlighted at the location where it was found.

Yes. From a 3D model it proposes a part classification, a setup strategy, machine assignments drawn from your shop's own machines, and a machining-time estimate. All of it is a starting point for your review.

Yes. It reads the customer PO and flags potential quantity, price, revision, date, and terms differences against the accepted quote before the order is released.
