The Full Story

I cofounded Infab because I couldn't keep relying on software that held my shop back. As the owner of Jax Precision, I spent too many hours fighting systems that weren't designed with real shops in mind. They didn't understand how things actually work day-to-day, how dynamic job scheduling can be, how critical traceability is, or how tough it is to maintain clean records across multiple operations. I wanted something that worked the way we do. That's what drove me to build Infab alongside Blake Nazario and Harris Newsteder in 2023.

From day one, we focused on building software from the shop floor up. Every feature we've added came directly from real shop needs. At Jax, I used early versions of Infab to manage quoting, track jobs, collect in-process data, and prep for audits. We weren't just developing software, we were proving it in a real, high-mix, high-precision environment. I gave feedback based on what my team was struggling with, and we made changes that solved those problems directly. That tight feedback loop between development and day-to-day operations has shaped Infab into something truly usable.

In 2024, Jax Precision earned AS9100 certification while running entirely on Infab. That milestone validated not just our internal processes but the strength and reliability of the system we had built. It showed that a small team with the right tools could meet the highest industry standards without bloated workflows or excessive overhead. Infab helped us stay audit-ready without needing to hire additional administrative staff or integrate outside systems.

What sets Infab apart is that it's built by the people who need it most. I'm still on the floor every day, quoting jobs, inspecting parts, and managing schedules. That perspective keeps us honest. We're not building theory, we're building tools that I need to run my own business. And if they work for me, they'll work for other shops too.
